A disgruntled former IT audit manager at BDO USA in Atlanta was arrested by authorities after allegedly murdering her former supervisor and a condominium property manager with whom she also had a dispute.
Raissa Kengne went on a shooting spree Monday at her condo complex, shooting and killing building manager Michael Shinners, 60, and injuring another person before she went back to her former offices at BDO and killed IT audit director Wesley Freeman, 41. She was later arrested at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The third victim, Mike Horne, who worked with Shinners at Beacon Management Services, was hospitalized, according to the local CBS News affiliate.
Kengne had complained in a post on LinkedIn about being retaliated against by BDO and Freedman in 2021. She most recently listed herself as president and CEO of her own company, Kengne Corp.
“In 2021, I was retaliated against by my employer at the time BDO USA, LLP,” she wrote. “My home was broken into, my computers were hacked, and my phones were spoofed.”

She claimed she had reported violations to the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Public Company Accounting Standards Board and the American Institute of CPAs. She also reportedly filed a lawsuit against Freeman, according to the local Fox News affiliate. BDO USA is planning to comment on the shootings. CEO Wayne Berson called it “a sad situation.”
Kengne had also previously complained on social media about her condo management company. She was arraigned in court Tuesday and was denied bond by the judge in the initial hearing. Kegne reportedly told the judge that her public defender was unqualified to defend her and the judge advised her of her right to remain silent.
