Upper Age Limits (As on 01.01.2022)
The Un-Reserved Candidate should have completed Minimum 21 Years and must not exceed 38 Years.
The Upper Age Limits are relaxable for Reserved Community Candidates as mentioned in OSSC Recruitment 2022 Advertisement.
Educational Qualification(s): The Applicant for the Opted Post must have in possession Master’s Degree (Arts/Science/Commerce) with Minimum 50% Marks in the Post Graduate Subject with the Master of Education (M.Ed.) with at least 50% Marks from any University accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of India.
Common Eligibility for all Posts:
The Candidate must
i) be able to read, write and speak Odia Dialect and
ii) have passed Middle School with Odia as a Language Subject; or
iii) have passed High School Certificate (Matriculate) Examination with Odia as a Medium of Examination in Non-Language Subject; or
iv) have passed in Odia as a Language Subject in the Final Examination of Class VII from any School or Education Institution duly recognized by the Central Government or the Government of Odisha;
v) have passed a Test in Odia in Middle English School Standard conducted by the School and Mass Education Department (SMED).
Selection Process under OSSC Recruitment 2022
Odisha Staff Selection Commission notified Selection Methodology consists of 03 Stages; i.e., Stage 1: Preliminary Examination; Stage 2: Main Written Examination and Stage 3: Certificate Verification Process (CVP).
Odisha Staff Selection Commission shall conduct a Preliminary Examination comprising a Single Paper with Objective-Type Multiple-Choice Questions for 150 Marks aimed at shortlisting the Candidates for the Main Written Examination. The Main Written Examination aimed to preparation of the Final Merit List. The Main Written Examination will comprise 02 Papers with the Multiple-Choice Questions based on the Subject-related Technical Papers for Maximum 200 Marks.
The Candidates declared Successful having qualified the Main Written Examination would be placed on the Final Merit-cum-Selection List, who would be subjected to a Detailed Certificate Verification Process (DSVP).
Final Merit List shall be drawn up by taking into account the Candidates’ Marks secured in both Preliminary Test (150 Marks) and Main Written Examination (200 Marks) aggregate 350 Marks.
