Ignition has appointed Drew Woodcock as Global VP of Sales, based in Austin, Texas. With more than a decade in vertical SaaS experience, Drew joins the company’s executive leadership team and will report to Guy Pearson, CEO and co-founder at Ignition.

In his role, Woodcock will lead Ignition’s global sales team to develop and accelerate sales processes and strategic partnerships that position Ignition for strong revenue growth, especially in North America as Ignition’s fastest growing market. He will help further accelerate its presence in North America.

“I’ve joined Ignition at a time of significant growth, as the company surpasses 6,000 customers and nearly $2.5 billion (USD) in client payment transactions globally,” Woodcock says. “As more accounting and professional services  businesses look to automation to operate more efficiently, better service their clients and improve cash flow, Ignition is well positioned to capture these exciting opportunities in the US, as well as in more mature markets like Australia.”

Prior to Ignition, Woodcock held senior leadership positions across medical and hospitality technology companies, including Brightwheel, ChowNow and Torch Technology. Drew is also an advisor to start-ups, and a founding member of CREW, a community set out to strengthen business leaders across the US.

His appointment follows the recent establishment of the Ignition Council in North America. In November 2022, Ignition enlisted 16 leading accounting, bookkeeping, and tax entrepreneurs to support the company on its ambitious path to transform accounting and professional services businesses.

In January 2023, Ignition announced the company joined the National Association of Enrolled Agents strategic partners program which connects companies with influential tax professionals within NAEA’s 8,000 members.
