If you are a young, up and coming accounting professional looking to take that next step, the American Institute of CPA (AICPA) has an opportunity for you. The group is accepting applications for the 2023 session of its Leadership Academy.
The four-day immersive experience is designed for young accounting professionals seeking everything and anything related to leadership, providing a blueprint for rising in the profession.
Led by Elizabeth Burkhalter, Senior Manager of Young Member/Early Career Initiatives on the Diversity and Inclusion team, the AICPA Leadership Academy helps strengthen and expand leadership skills of the next generation as they network with a peer group of talented and motivated CPAs.
The interactive workshop provides participants a nurturing space to partake in leadership training, engage in networking activities and listen to presentations from thought leaders in the profession. Applications are open through June 30.
To date, more than 475 CPAs have participated in the AICPA Leadership Academy, many of whom have gone on to leadership positions within their firms, businesses, or volunteer organizations.
